Tire Storage

In spring and autumn, car owners usually face the issue of where to store their tires. Where to put them if they do not have a basement or garage? Tire service centers often offer tire storage if you have them changed and serviced there. However, they also have limited capacity. An excellent alternative is to use storage containers, where you have plenty of space to store not only your tires until you need them again.

But do you know how to store them properly so they last as long as possible?

First of all, it is important to note that there is a difference between storing tires with rims and without rims.

Tires with rims – you can place them next to each other. However, they must not be stacked on top of each other or hung!

Tires without rims – on the contrary, stack them vertically on top of each other or hang them.

Good to know

• Tires must not come into contact with petroleum products such as oils, gasoline, diesel, etc.
• Before mounting them on your car, it is advisable to have the tires rebalanced
• Tires should be stored in a dry, dark, and cool place.
